A well-established Ophthalmology practice, specializing in pediatric care, exams for those with special needs, and adult strabismus care, is seeking Ophthalmic Assistants to support our busy clinic. An ideal candidate loves being around children, and can make an exam both fun and professional. Primary responsibilities involve pre-examination and workup of patients to include documenting history of present illness, chief complaint, and specialized tests. You will be working alongside 2 Ophthalmologists and 1 Optometrist to assist them in examining patients.
An ideal candidate is also detail-oriented, has strong multi-tasking capabilities, and can work in a fast-paced environment. An experienced candidate is preferred, however we may consider a strong candidate without Ophthalmology experience. Training is provided hands-on during the first two weeks of employment, and there is constant learning and growth in this role.
Working hours are primarily Monday through Friday, daylight hours. Occasional travel to our other local office in Murrysville, PA can be expected with travel compensation.
Benefits include: Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, Vision Discounts, 401(k) and Profit Sharing, Uniform Allowance, and Travel Reimbursement.
